About the Role
Are you experienced in a production or manufacturing environment and looking for a Cleaning and Maintenance Operative role which offers varied tasks and a great range of benefits?
We are looking for a Cleaning and Maintenance Operative to join our team in Lancaster. You will be responsible for assisting the team with general site duties, safe chemical storage, and ensuring site cleaning standards are met.
This role is on a days, working 8 hours, Monday to Friday, 8am until 4:30pm, with a 30 minute lunch break.
To ensure that all areas of the Site are maintained to a high standard of housekeeping. To assist where necessary to help maintain the safe, smooth, and efficient operation of the Mill in a professional and constructive manner.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure that all mezzanine floors are clean and pressure washed regularly.
* Wash down the yard.
* Replenish Cleaning stations.
* Move reels and unload waste deliveries safely if required.
* Unload chemical deliveries when needed.
* Monitor chemical stock levels to ensure continuity.
* Assist in colleague cover for both the re-winder and the core making line.
Essential Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 which includes Math’s, English or equivalent in GCSE.
* IPAF License.
* A high level of competency and understanding of Production departments.
