Catering Assistant
Location: Poplar House, Rectory Road, Pitsea, Basildon, Essex, SS13 1FG
Salary: £12.01 per hour
Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Catering Assistant at Retirement Communities Service at Poplar House, Basildon.

The role of Catering Assistant is referred to internally at Sanctuary as General Assistant – Catering.
The role of Catering Assistant will include:
* Helping to prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards
* Working with customers, families, advocates and staff to ensure a high standard of services
* Undertaking general duties as assigned, such as maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, communal areas and customers’ flats
* Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site, to maintain a safe environment
* Maintaining stock levels, restocking as required and ensuring equipment is used in line with guidance notes
Skills and experiences:
* Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is essential
* Some experience of working in a domestic/cleaning environment
* Level 2 diploma in housekeeping, or willing to work towards
* Good interpersonal and customer service skills
* A general understanding of health and safety in the workplace
