Are you an enthusiastic Quantity Surveyor with knowledge of Groundwork, Civil Engineering, or Electrical Installation Projects? We want you to join our team! Whether you have experience with Main Contractors or Specialist Trade Package Contractors, your skills will be invaluable.
As a Quantity Surveyor’s you will build up your portfolio of projects, requiring strong prioritisation skills to keep both stakeholders satisfied and National Grid compliant with contract conditions. You will be involved in exciting projects such as Switch Gear Replacement, Substation Control Systems, Transformers, and associated Civil Works, with a maximum value of around £6 million. The focus of this role is on the commercial control of numerous smaller projects while effectively managing stakeholders to ensure compliance with our NEC Contractual obligations.
In this role, you will manage multiple NEC Contracts simultaneously, ensuring commercial administration is seamless. You will monitor site progress against the accepted Construction Programme, review Interim Applications for Payment, and make informed recommendations for Payment. Your expertise in assessing the true value of variations from first principles will be crucial, as will your ability to assist with budgetary reporting and quantifying Project Risk.
Key requirements
* Quantity Surveying experience – Commercial build sector or DNO’s (Distribution Network Operator)
* Can demonstrate Quantity Surveying best practice.
* Enjoys working on NEC contracts.
* Stakeholder Engagement/Management skills – supporting Project Managers.
* Travel within the UK is expected, a full UK driving licence is essential.
Pay and benefits
* A starting salary of up to £63,000 pa + £3,000 pa Market Supplement + Training and Development.
* Company Car – Hybrid or full electric.
