Your Role as an English Teacher: Deliver engaging and adaptive English lessons, ensuring accessibility for all learners. Support students with SEN, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs), and behavioural challenges. Use creative and alternative teaching methods to inspire and motivate students. Foster a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment. Work closely with pastoral staff, SENCOs, and external agencies to create personalised learning plans. Encourage students to develop confidence, communication skills, and a love for literature. Help students prepare for GCSEs, Functional Skills, and vocational pathways. Who We’re Looking For: ✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) with experience as an English Teacher. ✅ A passion for working with vulnerable students and those with SEMH needs. ✅ The ability to build strong relationships and engage students through differentiated teaching. ✅ Experience in alternative provisions, PRUs, SEN schools, or behaviour support settings (desirable). ✅ A resilient, patient, and empathetic approach to education. ✅ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
