Cover Teacher
Salary: £125 – £160 per day

GSL Education’s North Yorkshire branch is currently recruiting for motivated and adaptable Cover Teachers for our client Secondary school located 19 miles north of York, North Yorkshire. This role involves delivering pre-planned lessons, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring a safe and productive learning environment during teacher absences.

Cover Teacher Requirements:
Previous teaching experience in a Secondary School or Further Education institute is preferred.
Have UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification.
Be confident in your approach to managing behaviour.
Ability to adapt to teaching multiple subjects.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
Cover Teacher Responsibilities:
Deliver pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Maintain the school’s behaviour management policy.
Provide feedback to teachers regarding lesson outcomes and student progress.
Answer student questions, and facilitate learning, ensuring that educational objectives are met.
Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, including during breaks, lunch, and other activities.
