An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen within theNorth East and Yorkshire's Regional Faculty for Advancing Practice to recruit Advanced Practice Training Programme Directors (TPDs) to support ourprogramme of work. The NHS Long Term Workforce Plan has a key focus on multi-professional advanced practice; developing and expanding the healthcare workforce toexpedite access to care and improve outcomes and experiences for patients, and their carers and families. The Regional Faculty for Advancing Practice is looking for experienced advanced or consultant practitioners who understand the advanced practice framework and can support all aspects of training, supervision and workforce need for Advanced Practitioners. There are a number of secondments available for an 18-month period. Secondments would range from a 1 to 2-day commitment per week, and these are broadly aligned to following clinical backgrounds:
* Cancer and Diagnostics
* Primary Care
* Mental Health
* Learning Difficulties and Autism
* Maternity
* Ophthalmology
The Faculty reserves the right to amend the specialty areas listed above to comprehensively cover the advanced practice requirements across theregion. Successful applicants will be required to work flexibility utilising their transferable skills in addition to specialist knowledge to contribute to the wider agenda and workas priorities and needs arise., Working with and reporting to the Regional Faculty for Advancing Practice, the Advanced Practice TPD(s) will work in all aspects of advanced practice training but will focus upon improvement of learner supervision, assessment and experience, engagement of faculty and ensuring effective educational outcomes, both now and in the future. Key duties also include:
* Providing advanced practice leadership and expertise at a regional level
* Contributing to the strategic and operational development of the Regional Faculty for Advanced Practice
* Contributing to proactively managing the key risks and issues associated with the regional delivery plan
* Working in partnership with others
* Developing the relationship and engagement strategy to facilitate local health and social care systems including ICBs to recognise the importance of advanced practice in service transformation
* Working to identify current and future advanced practitioner demand and supply and optimise workforce
* Providing support and advice to stakeholders on the development of the existing and future workforce and the delivery of the transformation plan outcomes
* Creating and deliver a wide range of reports, NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you'll usually need to be paid the 'standard' salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the 'going rate' for your job, whichever is higher.
