An opportunity has arisen for a proactive and experienced individual to join the School of Computing at West Herts College, Watford.
We are looking for well-motivated and enthusiastic Lecturer to join our committed and successful team. The role would be ideal for someone seeking to have a positive effect on the lives and learning experience of our Computing students.
There is the potential to teach students aged 16-19+ from Level 1 to Level 5. The successful applicant will need to have the necessary skills to teach Further Education learners and Higher Education learners and be part of a team thriving in a dynamic learning environment.
The right candidate will be someone with up-to-date industry knowledge with an understanding of learners in the FE sector. You will be capable of developing interactive and developmental learning materials in computing and cyber security which engage and stimulate a diverse range of students with differing needs.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, flexible, student-centred with the ability to provide pastoral care and be a strong role model for our students. You will also be available to travel to both Watford and Hemel Hempstead campus.
A relevant degree is a requirement, and a teaching qualification and/or industry experience is desirable, although full training to obtain this could be provided. You will have an ability to promote, support and embed English and maths skills within planning and delivery of all teaching.
