Respite Service and Crisis Manager – Registered Nurse Dewsbury, Kirklees, West Yorkshire Learning disability service; Challenging behaviour; Nursing; Respite care; Crisis support Would you like to be part of a well-respected and governed Charity, who provide the highest standards of bespoke, person centered care and support to people with learning disabilities in our community? We are looking for an experienced manager who is a qualified nurse to oversee both the operational management and nursing governance of a small service in Dewsbury that support adults with learning disabilities in both a respite setting with an additional crisis support service on site. This small respite service, which is open 24 hours per day supports adults with a learning disability who also require additional nursing support. You must be a qualified nurse to apply for this role with either RGN, RMN or RNLD qualification and a valid NMC PIN number. You will be registered with CQC as the Registered Manager for this service, and you will also be responsible for a new developing service which is a 2-bed crisis unit for adults who may live in the community but need a space to stay and be supported through a challenging personal situation. Therefore, you must have experience of supporting people with challenging behaviours and be confident supporting your team who will be providing a high level of support. Your team include a clinical lead, a team of nurses and support workers. This is very much a management role where you will provide clinical governance and strategic oversight coupled with operational responsibility for budgets, staffing, recruitment, compliance etc. Essential criteria: Registered Nurse RGN, RMN or RNLD, with a valid NMC PIN number Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management CQC Registered Manager Clear understanding of supporting adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours Full UK Driving Licence For more details on this position, please get in touch.
