Job summary The post holder will support in the provision of a safe and effective ophthalmology failsafe service and provide a comprehensive, efficient and effective service to the department. The post holder will work as part of a Multi-disciplinary team and will provide expertise in the proactive management of the various Ophthalmology patient pathways from referral to discharge, ensuring the entire pathway is managed smoothly. The Post holder will ensure high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer focused and knowledgeable point of contact. To provide consistent approach across the Trust, using standard operating procedures to ensure that functions of the role are carried out within given time scales. Main duties of the job The post holder will be the main point of contact for administrative relating to Failsafe queries. Responsibility for checking the quality of data entered onto the failsafe systems and filing systems, to ensure that all national standards are maintained and reportable Escalate any capacity issues to the Admin Manager to ensure that patient care is not postponed or compromised.
