What you will enjoy doing
1. You will support in the area of Process Safety Expertise to all CES, Applications, Bulk & On-Sites and PGP Operations across UK & Ireland, including the process safety technical support to all UK plants.
2. You will be responsible for advising the organisation on process safety related matters and provide support through skilled application / proficiency in a range of Process Safety topics.
3. You will hold the role of technical authority and will therefore be required to take ownership of internal standards, approve documents produced by others, provide technical guidance and support safety/quality investigations.
4. You will attend Team of Expert meetings and external or global meetings, representing the needs of the business and communicating the outputs from the meetings as required.
5. You will take on the responsibility for the deliverables on complex projects with technical quality, on time, and to budget.
What makes you great
1. You are degree qualified, preferably in Chemical or Process Engineering subject or equivalent.
2. You have 15+ years practical industrial experience (including graduate scheme or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, preferably in a process industry operating under COMAH regulations.
3. You have a good understanding of process safety management elements and demonstrate a level of professional competence in process safety.
4. Facilitation and change management skills are required as well as focus on continuous improvement.
5. You have knowledge of process plant technology and unit operations for the industrial gas industry.
6. You are proficient in PFD and P&ID interpretation.
7. You are proficient in consequence modelling.
8. You have the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver end results.
9. You can analyse complex problems and understand probability and risk with a good level of audit skills.
10. You are a chartered/fellow engineer or working towards Chartership with the IChemE.
