The Role:
An exciting opportunity has become available in our busy Customer Relations and Business Support Team at County Supplies. If you enjoy a fast-paced, ever-evolving working environment and are passionate about great customer service, we’d love to hear from you.
A bit about us:
As the County Council's category lead for common use goods, County Supplies acts as a procurement specialist and buying agent to corporate departments, Hampshire schools, and other local authorities for a range of goods. At County Supplies, we pride ourselves on maintaining the excellent relationship we have with our customers and going the extra mile to reach and exceed our customers’ expectations.
Working at County Supplies in the Customer Relations and Business Support Team, your main duties will include:
* Customer Relations: Efficiently handle incoming customer inquiries and complaints via phone and email. Achieve customer contact targets in line with the Customer Contact Strategy.
* Business Support: Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, processing customer orders, report generation, creating and managing customer accounts and invoices, including debt recovery. Support general admin functions for our web shop, County Supplies Online, including stock data, customer, and content management.
* Problem Solving: Identify and resolve customer issues efficiently. Complete stock checks and arrange collection and credits for return items.
* Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with customers and our Logistics and Buying teams. Work collaboratively with other Hampshire County Council departments.
* Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of new policies and procedures. Suggest improvements to enhance the customer experience.
With a polite, confident telephone manner, you will have experience of data entry and a good knowledge of O365 apps such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Access. Excellent numeracy and literacy skills are required as well as a methodical approach. You’ll also need an ability to meet deadlines while working under pressure and a willingness to work as part of a team. Transactional experience of SAP and previous experience of supporting general admin functions for a web shop are an advantage. Experience of a distribution or warehousing environment would be beneficial but is not essential. There is a lot to learn about our service; through great training and coaching, we will support you to meet the needs of our customers.
What we can offer you:
* Full Training and Support
* 24 days annual leave, increasing to 27 days after 5 years of employment
* Option to join an excellent workplace pension scheme
* The support of a wider team network
Work Location: County Supplies, Bar End, Winchester, SO23 9NR and hybrid working from home. Whilst Winchester will be your formal workplace, you will work from a mix of office and home. We expect a higher proportion of your working week to be in the office, with one or two days per week from home.
