Creative/Theatrical/Artistic Learning Support Assistant
Protocol Education are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant with a creative background to support in a SEND school. This role is designed to foster creativity in the classroom, helping to inspire and encourage SEND students.
The children you will be supporting have a variety of special needs, including ASD, Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs (SEMH), complex learning disabilities, or may need behavioral support.
You will aid in the daily activities of the classroom and use your creative background to uniquely support the SEND children. Providing 1:1 support and creating a positive atmosphere is essential. A friendly and positive approach to teaching and learning, along with the ability to quickly build strong relationships with individual children, is important.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience working with SEND or children.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* A passion for education and creating an environment in which students can improve their studies.
* The ability to use your creative nature to engage students, improve confidence, and positively influence a fun and supportive learning process.
The role includes:
* Supervising pupils with SEND, ensuring their safety and ability to access learning activities.
* Aiding the execution of education plans suitable to each pupil’s learning objectives.
* Building trusting relationships with all pupils and communicating according to their understanding.
* Promoting class interaction and ensuring pupils engage throughout the lessons.
* Creating an interesting environment for students.
* Assisting pupils with practical activities using a variety of teaching aids.
* Looking after children's physical, social, and emotional welfare.
Your experience does not necessarily need to be in a school environment, but rather in working or volunteering in youth groups, sports coaching, or after-school clubs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, with the option to make this role permanent potentially becoming available later.
