Qualifications: Electrical Installation Qualification (such as NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services or similar). Battery Storage Training such as Level 3 RQF or LCL Level 3 Award. BS 7671 Certification (18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations). CSCS/ECS Card (or equivalent certification required for working on construction sites in the UK). Experience working on heat pump systems preferred and performing general electrical maintenance on electrical systems. Inspection and Testing Certification (e.g., City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent) is desirable. Part P Building Regulations qualified and other UK compliance standards related to electrical installations. Knowledge of renewable energy and low-carbon energy systems is advantageous. Key Responsibilities: Electrical Installations for Heat Pumps: Plan and execute electrical work for heat pump installations, including wiring, control systems, and power supply integration. Installation and commissioning of dedicated electrical energy storage systems (EESS). Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform electrical maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on installed heat pump systems and other electrical systems, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient operation. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all work adheres to BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and other relevant UK standards, as well as health and safety regulations. Testing and Commissioning: Conduct thorough testing of installations and maintenance work to ensure compliance, system efficiency, and client satisfaction. Technical Support: Provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, assisting in installation, troubleshooting, and repair phases. Collaboration with Project Teams: Work closely with project managers, and the O&M teams to coordinate projects and maintenance schedules effectively. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance work, and inspections, ensuring all documentation is compliant with UK standards and internal procedures. Client Communication: Engage with clients and tenants, responding to maintenance requests, and addressing any electrical concerns related to heat pump or electrical systems.
