Job Title: Assistant Buyer – Electrical Installations
Location: Kings Langley, Hertfordshire
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum, depending on experience

We are seeking a motivated Junior Buyer to join our procurement team and contribute to our ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in Procurement Processes: Support the Senior Buyer in sourcing and purchasing electrical components and materials essential for various projects.
* Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and optimal pricing.
* Purchase Order Management: Prepare and process purchase orders accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies.
* Project Costing and Budgeting: Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective procurement.
* Inventory Monitoring: Keep track of stock levels to prevent shortages and manage reorder points effectively.
* Market Analysis: Research market trends to identify potential suppliers and assess product quality and pricing.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data.
Qualifications:
Experience: Prior experience in a purchasing or procurement role, especially within the electrical installations sector, is advantageous.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with electrical components and materials used in installations.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with suppliers and internal teams.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in preparing and reviewing purchase orders and budgets.
IT Proficiency: Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with procurement software is a plus.
