The First Line Manager will manage the Stock Control team and the overall performance of the department. The First Line Manager will be fully accountable for all stock control transactions on their shift, identifying local strategies and practices which will develop capability and drive performance improvement, whilst ensuring a safe work environment. The Stock Control First Line Manager will be key to the effective resourcing of the stock team and ensuring the maximisation of stock, stock solutions, ensuring the Stafford FC service is not compromised.
Responsibilities:
* Manage inventory/stock levels and stock placement using the JDA system.
* Function within an established team of stock controllers, ensuring that all internal stock control processes within the Stafford FC are followed.
* Maximise stock availability and ensure that stock can be delivered to stores accurately and in a saleable condition.
* Assist in maintaining the accuracy of the warehouse stock file, through perpetual inventory counts and identifying damage reduction opportunities.
* Continuously improve productivity through maintaining pick paths and space utilisation.
* Maintain the Physical inventory in line with system driven PI to control adjustments.
* Report on a weekly basis the stock KPI's and assist in the development of new processes and procedures.
* Ensure the monitoring and investigation of internal product adjustments to maintain stock accuracy.
Qualifications:
* Previous management experience or similar in a distribution environment.
* Brings a cheerful outlook and is capable of motivating others through briefings and one-to-one meetings.
* Knowledge and experience of warehouse management systems, preferably also with mechanical handling equipment.
* Knowledge and experience of managing service level agreements (SLA's) and KPI's.
* Experience of resource planning and performance management.
* Proficient IT Skills - Microsoft Word and Excel with the ability to design and draft reports.
* Forward-thinking with a customer-centric focus.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Creative and resourceful under pressure.
* A collaborator within the wider business.
