Shift Production Manager will have a background in fast-paced, high-risk, chilled food production and a thorough understanding of the transformation of raw materials into finished products. Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, and Kanban is highly desirable. The role demands a driven Production Manager with a proven track record in man management, continuous process improvement and excellent decision-making abilities. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with personnel at all levels are essential.
As a Shift Production Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the production team and equipment, reporting directly to the Site Manager. You will manage four direct reports and indirectly oversee a team of 60-100 individuals.
Production Shift Manager responsibilities:
- Man management and team building
- Driving the production team and monitoring production KPIs
- Handling management issues.
- Structuring the site for optimal performance
- Implementing continuous improvement and reliability measures
- Budget and cost control
- Ensuring the delivery of the company's vision and standards to all team members
