With plans for multi-million-pound investment and a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, we are seeking an experienced Head of Electrical or Lead Electrical Engineer to drive the business forward, enhancing manufacturing operations in production, planning, quality, H&S, and overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities of Head of Electrical or Lead Electrical Engineer
* Lead a small engineering team of approximately 10-15 members
* Manage and motivate the team to effectively problem-solve and develop their careers, providing appropriate leadership to advance the site and manufacturing lines
* Implement and manage HSEQ standards and policies
* Apply heavy industrial electrical engineering expertise
* Support the transition to a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing environment nearby
* Identify opportunities for further automation of manufacturing processes
* Monitor electrical tasks through spot checks and provide relevant feedback
Essential Qualifications for Head of Electrical or Lead Electrical Engineer
* Experience in senior production or manufacturing leadership roles (e.g., Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Production Manager, Shift Operations/Production Manager, or Lead)
* 18th Edition wiring regulations and current BS7671 standards; knowledge of PLCs and inverters
* Leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
* Working knowledge of IEC 61508/61511 standards
* Complex EX14 or working knowledge; proven Atex Responsible Person requirements
* The role reports to the Site Operations Manager and offers significant influence and autonomy, with opportunities for personal and career growth
* Experience in electrical maintenance within heavy industry plants
