Vision for Education is actively seeking enthusiastic, adaptable, and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work alongside pupils with a variety of learning needs in ALN schools across South Wales. The Role
You will be supporting pupils with various additional learning needs (ALN), including:
* MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties)
* SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties)
* ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition)
* PMLD (Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties)
* PD (Physical Disabilities)
* EBD (Emotional and behavioural difficulties)
As An ALN Teaching Assistant, You Will
* Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups to aid learning and development.
* Assist with classroom activities, ensuring lessons are engaging and accessible.
* Adapt learning materials to meet the individual needs of pupils.
* Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
* Encourage independence and confidence in students.
* Work collaboratively with class teachers and other teaching assistants in smaller class settings.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience supporting children or young people in an education, care, or support setting.
* A positive, patient, and adaptable approach to learning support.
* Ability to manage behaviour positively and effectively.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 3) – preferred but not essential! If you have experience in youth work, care, or similar support roles, we’d still love to hear from you!
