Full-Time Teaching Assistant – SEN School (PMLD/SLD)

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join an SEN school we work with, supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD). As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting with the education and care of children aged 5-11, helping them achieve their learning potential in a supportive, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to pupils with PMLD and SLD.
* Assist with classroom activities and lesson delivery tailored to the individual needs of the pupils.
* Work alongside the teaching staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
* Support pupils with personal care needs as required.
* Foster a safe and positive learning environment.
* Help monitor and track pupils' progress and report to senior staff.
Essential Criteria:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN, preferably with PMLD or SLD.
* A patient, compassionate, and flexible approach to working with children.
* Strong communication skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* A passion for supporting children with learning disabilities.
Desirable Criteria:
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Teaching Assistant Level 2 or 3).
* Experience in supporting students with personal care.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
