Overview
Our client specialises in business-to-business magazines, print and online, as well as conferences in some of the sectors in which they operate. They have a rare vacancy for an advertising sales executive position for two of their titles.
Salary: Basic salary is £28-30k plus generous, uncapped commission scheme based on guaranteed commission for each sale of 3%. Realistic OTE is £40k – £45k (this is what the current salesperson in the role was paid last year).
The Person
1. The successful candidate must be well spoken and presentable with a pleasant, friendly and confident telephone manner. They will be responsible for the selling of advertising, principally in print, but also increasingly online (website and newsletters) to existing and potential clients. They will be expected to make a minimum number of calls per day to our international database of companies and structure their day accordingly.
2. Proficient in putting together sales proposals and managing their time effectively.
3. Excellent sales, negotiation and presentation skills as well as keen attention to detail
4. Strong new business skills and tenacious approach
5. Education – A level minimum requirement – preferably to degree level

19. Liaise regularly with the editorial team and be capable of doing their own web research.
20. They must be available to travel to tradeshows within Europe and potentially further afield.
21. They may also be required to sell on other titles/products within the company
