Job Description
Pensions Payroll Transition Lead
The Payroll Transition Lead is responsible for leading the payroll testing and transition within the Payroll workstreams for new client onboarding as well as other payroll change.
Main tasks & responsibilities
* Supporting the client payroll criteria gathering and build design alongside the senior developer
* Designing new, or adapting current test scripts, for payroll testing in respect of new clients
* Carrying out test scripts in respect of developer build of payroll including all payroll related processes and workflows
* Carrying out scheduled parallel runs during new client onboarding and for presenting results for sign off
* Liaise with the Payroll team lead to ensure the payroll testing plan is managed effectively and to transition the new payroll to BAU and to ensure that the wider payroll team are fully trained ahead of new client go live
* Liaise with the workstream project manager to present updates to the workstream lead
* Manage other small process changes to Payroll where required
* Other duties, as required
Essential knowledge, skills and experience
* Strong payroll and payroll processing experience
* Experience in payroll user acceptance testing
* Strong customer care skills with the ability to communicate/interact at all levels within the organisation and external to the organisation
* Ability to compare large volume payroll outputs via excel
