MANE are currently recruiting for a Stores Operative (Permanent) for our Aerospace Interiors client based in Cambridge.
As A Stores Person you will be part of a team utilising the in-house MRP system to manage deliveries into the business and dispatch goods from the stores facility. Responsibilities include correct storage and identifying any discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Allocate tooling and fixtures correctly and monitor item locations throughout the production process.
2. Maintain the tooling register to ensure efficient and recorded production flow.
3. Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries or discrepancies.
4. Maintain accurate records in the MRP system.
5. Pick products according to job cards.
6. Lift products in accordance with our manual handling procedures.
This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive. The successful candidate will be expected to perform various tasks as required by their line manager and the overall objectives of the organisation.
Key Performance Measures:
Achievement of agreed departmental KPIs.
Knowledge, Education, and Skills:
Knowledge:
1. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
2. Familiarity with SAGE/MRP systems for stock allocation, issuing, transferring, and checking stock levels.
3. Understanding of product traceability, including stock history, batch numbers, certificates of conformity, and work orders.
4. Knowledge of stock rotation practices.
5. Good understanding of units of measure.
6. Familiarity with relevant documentation (certificates, dispatch notes, etc.).
7. Current forklift license is advantageous.
8. Knowledge of transport booking, associated paperwork, and couriers is advantageous.
9. Experience with safe manual handling practices.
Education:
1. Experience in a stores position.
2. Recognised qualification relevant to the position, such as warehousing.
Skills and Competencies:
1. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
2. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
3. Good organisational and time management skills.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
5. Ability to engage with the wider team.
6. Setting and maintaining high standards of housekeeping in the department.
Other Material Requirements:
Limited travel between sites may be required to support functions and visits.
Standard Hours:
(Apply online only) Mon to Thurs and (Apply online only) Fri. (37hrs week). O/T rate 1.5 after 37 hours and 2.0 Sundays and B/H.
