Vacancy: Operations Data Analyst Location: Royston, UK Job Family: EHS As the Operational Data Analyst, you will ensure compliance with all relevant environmental and energy legislation across all Business Units at the Royston and Brimsdown sites through the gathering, analysis and reporting of data required. The work environment is mainly office based but will need regular visits to production areas where there may be operational related hazards. Your responsibilities: Arrange and supervise sitewide environmental monitoring programmes, including but not limited to, recording and analysing emissions to air, water, drainage and noise to ensure accurate records are maintained Manage the collection of energy data for Royston and Brimsdown sites, conduct detailed analyses and generate reports based on the data received as the business requires Coordinate the EU Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) for the Royston and Brimsdown sites; analysing carbon emissions and presenting data to the Site Manager for approval to support submissions to Inland Revenue and compliance with legislation Analyse data and arrange submissions for the Climate Change Agreement / Climate Change Levey and Combined Heat and Power Quality Control for the Royston and Brimsdown sites to ensure that appropriate tax is paid in line with legislation Responsible for the sitewide energy management system, recording data in the system, ensuring that data input from business units is accurate and reporting from the data as required Collate utility invoices for the Royston site, checking invoices are accurate according to the data recorded and costs are in line with agreed contract prices to ensure that costs are correct, and invoices can be sent for payment in a timely manner Conduct internal audits of business units at the Royston site to ensure compliance with sitewide policies Support energy efficiency projects with data collection and analysis as required Assist the site COMAH and Environmental Specialist as required and providing support to the business during the COMAH and Environmental Specialist's absence to ensure that the Royston site remains compliant with COMAH environmental and energy obligations Assist with the submission and verification of Environmental Permit and COMAH safety reports Provide support, as appropriate, with regards to JM sustainability agendas and strategies Support with the maintenance and review of environmental and energy policies to ensure they remain up to date across the Royston site Support the Site Community and Liaisons officer with corporate social responsibility and communications. Requirements for the role: Familiarity with energy data and units of measurement Experience interpreting communication and legislative requirements and working with environmental and energy regulations Membership of IEMA or similar, or a willingness to undertake studies Experience of stakeholder management and communication with various levels of an organisation Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, able to interact and build relationships with people across all levels of the business How you will be rewarded: We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package including bonus, excellent pension contributions and 25 days annual leave (varies for shift-based roles).
