We are recruiting for a Shift Maintenance Electrician to work on a resident basis within a large scale commercial facility in the Cheshire area completing building services electrical maintenance, compliance checks and small works projects.
The role is a permanent position paying the below:
£41,500 basic plus £3,500 shift allowance
Plus £2,000 for HV AP (they will put the candidate through this)
Plus £1,000 for LV AP (they will put the candidate through this)
Total c48k
Shift pattern: 4 nights, 4 off, 3 days, 3 nights, 4 off, 4 days, 6 off.
Description:
Within the shift maintenance electrician role you will be carrying out all electrical planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across the site. The role will require a flexible approach as you will often be called to carry out or support works that are outside your core discipline.
Duties & Responsibilities:
To undertake planned and reactive maintenance tasks on electrical plant, controls, lighting etc.
Overlap with general HVAC, AHU, FCU and mechanical services.
Supervise maintenance teams on PPM and reactive works.
Oversee sub-contractors on site and ensure RAMS etc. are completed and logged.
Oversee compliance checks including tap temps, emergency lighting etc.
To complete PPM’s in line with SLA and KPI agreements.
To provide H&S oversight.
Undertake small works minor projects where required and life-cycle refurbishments.
To respond to Helpdesk requests, providing a professional and timely service.
To support the other members of the maintenance team with ad-hoc tasks across all disciplines.
Client liaison and reporting into the Site Manager.
Skills & Background Required:
Recognised professional qualification e.g. City & Guilds Electrical Engineering (Level 3 (or Part 1 & 2).
18th edition.
Maintenance background in commercial sized buildings – PPM’s and reactive works.
Experience of building services and general HVAC overlap.
Ideally HV and/or LV experience and AP – but you will undergo AP status training via the company if not.
Conversant with H&S, CDM, RAMS paperwork and record keeping.
Must be presentable and reliable.
Be capable of passing a security check.
Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally.
Strong planning and workload management skills with the ability to manage short term and long term activities to agreed deadlines.
