Parkit Enterprise (“Parkit”) is an industrial real estate platform focused on the acquisition, growth and management of 25 properties and approximately 2,000,000 sf of GLA of industrial space across key markets across Canada.
SUMMARY
The role is to provide administration, business development support, and analysis to assist the commercial real estate team in leasing and business development activities. The role involves tracking real estate trends, analyzing property data, and preparing detailed reports. The ideal candidate will work towards developing a strong understanding of the commercial and industrial real estate market and will be a strong communicator, proficient in data collection, statistical analysis, and reporting.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Business Development Administration:
o Maintain rent rolls, tenant information, and leases for a portfolio of 30-50+ industrial properties.
o Maintain contact with tenants to understand their real estate requirements for renewals, expansions, or other needs.
o Assist in preparing documentation and contracts.
o Develop customized research reports and deliverables for internal teams.
o Reach out to brokers and external parties to gather information on opportunities and provide targeted research that supports leasing and investment decisions.
2. Business Development Marketing and Outreach:
o Prepare marketing packages, presentations, and materials for internal and external distribution.
o Communicate with internal and external contacts to gather, analyze, and report on market information.
3. Market Research, Data Analysis and Management:
o Maintain internal databases of real estate transactions, market statistics, and property inventories.
o Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data collected from multiple sources.
o Conduct market research on commercial real estate trends, property values, leasing rates, vacancy rates, and capital market activities.
o Collect, interpret, analyze, and maintain up-to-date information on commercial properties, tenants, and transactions within specific markets.
o Track economic, demographic, and real estate trends that impact the industry, using Costar, public records, and industry reports.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: University or college diploma or equivalent training (e.g. Real Property Administration, Certified Electrical Technologies, etc.)
JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
* Job experience – 2-5 years or more.
* Education – Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Economics, Finance, Business or Real Estate specialty preferred) (Master’s degree or MBA is a plus).
* Experience: 1-3 years commercial real estate experience, financial analysis, or market research.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
* Strong analytical and research skills with experience in commercial real estate data tools (e.g., CoStar, LoopNet, Argus, etc.).
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and compelling reports.
* Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work within tight deadlines.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Collaboration: Strong team player who works well with various departments to deliver high-quality research.
* Organizational Skills: Efficient in managing large datasets and maintaining accurate records.
