We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council as an Operational Lead – Investment and Ownership. The role: We are looking for an individual to take the leading role in delivering and supporting the Councils’ investment programme and proactively managing the Housing portfolio. The Operational Lead- Investment and Ownership will oversee all aspects of property and ownership within the Housing Service. They will work collaboratively alongside the Development Programme Manager and Capital Programme Manager to proactively review the councils land and property assets and make recommendations in relation to property investment. They will act as one of the Council’s experts on property investment and to appoint and manage consultants to assist with the delivery of the Council’s housing investment programme. As Operational Lead – Investment and Ownership, you will have responsibility for a team of 3 coving investment and home ownership. Working collaboratively you will deliver a high-quality housing investment programme to enhance the Councils Housing portfolio. You will work to ensure recommendations and decision making is transparent, fair and aligns to corporate objectives and governance requirement. What you will need: You will be commercially astute, will have excellent communication skills, including highly developed oral and written communication, plus presentational skills. You will have the ability to effectively motivate a team to work under pressure and public scrutiny and delivery results to tight deadlines and be able act on your own initiative and solve problems. An RICS degree level qualification plus a minimum of 3 years relevant previous post qualification experience is essential for this role. You will also have a commitment to your own development and to supporting training and development initiatives.
