Job Description
Purpose
The purpose of the Sales Team Member role is to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets by actively engaging with prospective and existing customers. This role is crucial in executing sales strategies, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the sales team. The Sales Team Member will play a key role in identifying sales opportunities, presenting solutions, and closing deals to meet and exceed individual and team sales goals.
Specific Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Actively prospect and generate leads through various channels, including social media, cold calling, referrals and networking.
2. Conduct sales calls and discuss training opportunities to prospective customers, highlighting the benefits and value of the company’s offerings.
3. Develop and maintain a pipeline of sales opportunities, ensuring timely follow-ups and effective management of leads.
4. Customer Relationship Management:
1. Conduct regular check-ins with existing customers to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
2. Build and nurture strong relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
5. Sales Strategy and Planning:
1. Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to develop and implement sales strategies and plans that align with company objectives and targets.
2. Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to inform sales tactics and identify growth opportunities.
3. Set and achieve individual sales goals and contribute to the overall success of the sales team.
6. Sales Reporting and Administration:
1. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline updates in the CRM system.
2. Prepare and submit regular sales reports and performance metrics to the Sales Manager.
3. Ensure all sales are closed accurately and in a timely manner.
7. Market Research and Feedback:
1. Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to effectively position the company’s products and services.
2. Provide feedback and insights to the Sales Manager and other relevant teams to enhance product offerings and sales strategies.
8. Collaboration and Teamwork:
1. Work closely with other sales team members and departments, including marketing and customer support, to ensure a coordinated approach to sales and customer service.
2. Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and team-building activities to enhance skills and foster a positive team environment.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
2. Experience: Previous experience in a sales role or customer-facing position is desirable, but not essential for entry-level positions.
3. Sales Skills: Strong sales skills with the ability to effectively present training solutions, handle objections, and consistently close deals.
4. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and persuade customers.
5. Customer Focus: Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
6. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently, with strong attention to detail.
7. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute to team goals and success.
8. Experience with CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
9. Knowledge of the company’s industry and market (low carbon and construction sector especially).
10. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
