We are working with a Tier 1 contractor who have a new build student accommodation scheme in Reading to recruit an experienced M&E Site or Project Manager to manage the self delivery of the electrical and help oversee the mechanical packages.

The role is to take full responsibility for the services packages - particularly the electrical installation and work with the wider site team to manage from start up through to commissioning of the services.
The electrical element is being self delivered by an in-house subcontractor and directly employed labour but they are to be managed and supervised as a traditional package and you will be responsible for prestarts, inductions, daily site inspections, progress reports, dealing with technical queries, call off orders for plant and materials, quality and audits as well as health and safety. You will also have awatching brief over the mechanical subcontrctor.
The role would ideally suit someone from a either a main contractor or specialist subcontractor with experience of both mechanical and electrical services and experience of delivery would be an advantage. Ideally degree qualified but they are also keen to look at individuals who have worked their way up off the tools.
The role is avialble as a long term fixed term contract - 12 months or the client would consider a freelance/contract position on day rate basis.
