Applications are welcomed for a Post Doctoral Research Associate in the School of Mathematical and Physical
Sciences. In this role you will be a member of the High Energy Particle Physics group and will form part of the
Water Cherenkov Neutrino group. The group is engaged in a broad programme of work which involves
participation in current and next generation short and long baseline neutrino oscillation experiments
including Hyper-Kamiokande (HK), Super-Kamiokande (SK) and T2K, alongside the BUTTON experiment at
Boulby.
As a candidate you will have a PhD and, ideally some postdoctoral experience in Particle Physics, a good
knowledge of programming within a Particle Physics or similar environment. A strong hardware background
will be essential. Experience of calibration systems for neutrino experiments and/or gamma spectroscopy via
high purity Germanium detectors would be an advantage.
