We are currently seeking exam invigilators to work in a fantastic special education needs (SEN) secondary school in Tooting (South West London).
As this school caters for pupils with learning and behavioural needs, the role will most entail working with pupils on a 1:1 basis, to offer targeted support with receiving a fair and accessible examination experience. This is a temporary, flexible position during the summer exam period, with opportunities for recurring assignments based on performance and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Set up examination rooms according to provided instructions.
2. Check identification and verify exam candidates' eligibility.
3. Distribute and collect examination papers and materials.
4. Maintain exam security and uphold integrity standards.
5. Enforce exam regulations and guidelines.
6. Provide assistance and support to candidates as needed.
7. Monitor candidates during examinations to prevent cheating or irregularities.
8. Handle any unexpected situations or disruptions calmly and professionally.
9. Report any incidents or concerns to the appropriate authorities.
10. Assist with post-examination procedures as required.

Vetting Process:
1. Right to work: Candidates must have and be demonstrated the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
2. Enhanced DBS check: All successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. If you do not currently have an enhanced DBS check, registered to the update service, we can provide you with one at the cost of £60.
3. Professional references: Candidates must provide three professional references. Personal email addresses will not be accepted as references.
4. Candidates will need to download our principal education app, available for both IOS and Android users.
5. Training: Successful candidates will need to complete a compulsory, one-hour, online certified course before commencing work, which is provided free of charge.
Salary: Full Day £110 / Half Day £65
