It is essential that you are currently a Registered Children’s Nurse with the NMC.
The shift pattern for these positions is rotational, 12 hour day/nights.
There is a mix of hours and posts available.
(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.
As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and evaluation of programmes of care ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients. You will provide a high standard of nursing care within the clinical area to ensure that patient needs are assessed, care planned, implemented and evaluated, and that there is consultation and involvement of patient/carers. Responsible for maintaining patient records within agreed standards and ensuring high quality record keeping within area of responsibility. Contributes to the development of programmes of care, and provides advice to junior staff concerning the treatment of complex patient groups. Teaching and training
of junior staff and parents/patients. To delegate staff with due regard to individuals capabilities utilising available skill mix appropriately. To ensure that patient care is individualised to encompass spiritual and cultural needs of the child and family. You will have the opportunity to gain advanced nursing skills including airway management, long term ventilation and management of complex neurological conditions.
