Payroll Administrator
Location: Hybrid role (with regular travel to our Glasgow office)
Permanent, Full Time

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our busy HR Shared Service team. We invite applications from experienced payroll or pension administrators or those with exceptional general administration experience who have excellent attention to detail and are happy to work autonomously.
The role will be responsible for collating data and preparing multiple payrolls across both the UK and Ireland, with a headcount of approximately 2000 per month.
This is a fast-paced and varied role which involves manually collating and checking timesheets, preparing them for Sage, CoreHR (PeopleXD), and submission to our external payroll bureaus. While the payroll is processed by a bureau, you will be responsible for the submission, checking, and dealing with all associated queries.
As a developing payroll professional, you will identify opportunities to improve processes and be involved in Payroll projects. You will also provide ad hoc support and cover for our casual staff payrolls as required, as well as the administration of the end-to-end Pension scheme across the business.

Skills required:
1. Previous experience in a large payroll environment is beneficial, along with a sound knowledge of current payroll legislation. We would also consider candidates with pension administration and a strong general administration background.
2. Working knowledge of ROI payroll legislation
3. Experience of end-to-end auto enrolment processing
4. Knowledge of Tax, NI, SSP, and SMP along with the ability to make manual calculations.
5. Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel (v look up and pivots essential) and the ability to interrogate and question data
6. Working knowledge of payroll software / HR systems, ideally Sage and PeopleXD
