An Ebbw Vale based food manufacturer is looking to recruit an experienced multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer for their modern production facility.
As a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will provide engineering support to the production area and be responsible for reactive and proactive maintenance of plant, equipment, and any auxiliary systems.
4 on 4 off - Days and Nights (12 hour shifts) (2 days, 2 nights, then 4 off). This is a great opportunity to work in a modern food manufacturer that is seeing significant investment being made across multiple sites in the group with the aim of becoming number one in their sector.
Salary of c£40 - £43k.
Key responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer:
1. Assist team to work towards maximum plant and equipment efficiency so downtime is minimized.
2. Ensure planned engineering tasks are delivered on time and in full.
3. Ensure good repair/manufacturing practices and procedures are followed.
4. Ensure completion of planned maintenance documents/CMMS.
5. Work closely with production staff to achieve daily targets.
6. Contribute to cost reduction initiatives to drive efficiency and process improvements.
Experience and skills required:
1. Qualified maintenance engineer with C&G's or BTEC Level 3 or ideally HNC/HND level.
2. Multi-skilled, mechanical and electrical skills/experience.
3. Apprenticeship trained.
4. Proactive attitude to solving issues and supporting production.
5. FMCG/Food manufacturing experience would be desired, but not essential.
