Description
Cowgills is a well-established, growing, and forward-thinking business advisory firm based in the Northwest, renowned for delivering exceptional services to businesses and individuals across the region and beyond.
Our highly experienced Corporate Insolvency team specialises in MVLs, CVLs, Administrations, CVAs, and select Personal Bankruptcies, supporting a diverse client base across all sectors and industries in the UK. We are now looking for a Director to join our fellow Insolvency Practitioners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Take on formal insolvency appointments
2. Focus on an operational role (no business development required)
3. Manage your own varied portfolio of corporate insolvency cases, including MVLs, CVLs, Administrations, CVAs, and some Personal Bankruptcies
4. Work closely with the management team to lead the department and ensure all statutory deadlines are met
5. Carry out financial analysis, cash flow forecasting, and viability assessments for distressed businesses
6. Offer clear, practical advice to clients, directors, and creditors on insolvency options and recovery strategies
7. Prepare for and attend meetings with Directors, Creditors, and Solicitors
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
We're looking for a JIEB-qualified Appointment Taking IP, Director, or Senior Manager to join our team. This role would be a great fit for someone who:
* Has at least 8 years of experience in insolvency
* Possesses strong technical expertise in insolvency
* Has experience managing a portfolio of insolvency cases
* Can confidently handle a varied workload across different industries
* Is a well-rounded professional with a hands-on approach
* Has experience overseeing billings and WIP
* Is a strong leader with the ability to develop and inspire a large team
