DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Logistics and Export Services Manager, you will manage all commercial aspects of Compliance and Shipping for Exclusive Networks and ensure the successful management of the drop ship services for our customers.
Collaborating with the Warehouse Manager, you will ensure the Sustainability of the warehouse function and support export services to ensure targets and SLA’s are met. Develop strong relationships with our external partners, negotiate logistics services with suppliers to ensure value for money and a high level of customer service is provided to our customers.
As the Logistics and Export Manager, you will:
* Educate and train all staff on the need for export licenses and export rules and regulations
* Ensure stock management targets are met
* Ensure Commercial Logistics P&L targets are met
* Build lasting relationships and negotiate with vendors and customers
* Report on and improve processes to ensure quality and efficiency of services
* Identify ways of improving sustainability across Logistics and Supply Chain functions
* Resolve any arising problems or complaints, implementing new processes to reduce future problems
* Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess team performance, set and monitor objectives and implement improvements
* Comply with all regulatory controls for importing into the UK
* Adhere to all global controls for the movement of dual use product for our global deliveries in accordance with our clients' expectations and capabilities
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal Logistics and Export Manager will have:
* Global logistics and import and export experience
* Experience of Export Services and Compliance
* Experience of Warehouse and Stock Management
* A good understanding of the management and risks of Warehouse Operations
* Excellent attention to detail with strong reporting and analytics experience
* Ability to build internal and external relationships with a proven track record of negotiation
* Be a personable and confident team player with excellent business acumen
* Work well under pressure with good time management and the ability to prioritise
* Confident user of all Microsoft Office packages and ERP systems – Microsoft NetSuite experience would be beneficial
Preferred skills and experience:
* Previous experience working in IT distribution
* Experience of shipping Dual Use controlled product from the UK with an understanding of UK Controlled list and US EAR regulations
