Responsibilities The Role:
The role aims to prevent Solus breaching statutory compliance by ensuring that each site is in full compliance with Solus requirements and mitigations put in place.
This crucial and important role is to provide support to the UK HSE Lead and to provide advice and support to all sites and head office teams in all matters relating to Health, Safety and Environment.
The UK HSE Advisor will assist in delivering the health and safety strategy and own the day to day running of the HSE management system.
Key Outputs:
Ensure Solus adheres to statutory requirements
Ensure that all risks are identified and managed with appropriate controls
Conduct HS&E Audits
Conduct Risk Assessments / SWPs
Produce statistics / reports
Accident investigation including root cause analysis
Noise Assessments
DSE Workstation assessments
COSHH Assessments
Tool HAV assessments
Research new equipment, chemicals PPE to ensure least hazardous is always used
Resolve, Report and escalate issues identified
Provide possible solutions to challenges
Advise and Support for all sites
Deputise for UK HSE Lead for holiday cover
Review OHO reports
Review statutory inspection reports
Attend meetings as requested by UK HSE lead.
Qualifications Desired Qualifications and/or Experience:
NEBOSH General Cert. Qualified
Proven experience in H&S advisory role Multisite or large single site
Preferably high risk mechanical environments
Ideally exposed to operational management experience
Knowledge of 5S principles
Knowledge of environmental requirements
