Branch Overview:
There are 10 test rooms spread across 2 floors, ensuring efficient patient flow and a comfortable working environment.
Our branch serves a diverse range of patients, including individuals of all age groups and backgrounds.
The branch was recently refitted a couple of years ago but are due for another refit in 18 months.
They are conveniently situated in a bustling shopping centre, ensuring a steady flow of foot traffic and accessibility for patients.
We have a multi-storey car park available, and as an employee, you can opt for the convenience of paying £65 per month out of your wages instead of the daily rate of £15.
Our team consists of 54 individuals working together to provide excellent eye care services to our patients.
The branch operates from 8:40 am to 6:30 pm Monday to Friday, 8:45 am to 5:45 pm on Saturdays, and 9:45 am to 4:30 pm on Sundays.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including vision testing, refraction, and ocular health assessments.
Accurately diagnose visual problems and ocular conditions and provide appropriate treatment or referral.
Prescribe and dispense corrective lenses, contact lenses, and other optical aids as required.
Educate patients on proper eye care practices, including contact lens care and hygiene.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using our electronic record-keeping system.
Collaborate with the wider team, including Dispensing Opticians, to ensure a seamless patient experience and provide excellent customer service.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in Optometry through continuous professional development.
Requirements:
Qualified Optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Flexibility to work one Sunday every month and three Saturdays per month, with one weekend off.
Preferred experience with trial frames, although one room with a Phoropter is available.
Ability to work efficiently within a 25-minute testing time.
Average of 15 to 16 tests per day.
