The Opportunity:
This Research Assistant position will contribute to the Experiential AI in Data-Centric Engineering project within The New Real research programme at the University of Edinburgh.
This Research Assistant role focuses on analysis of the co-design of a lightweight, interactive latent space navigation tool for human-AI collaboration. It will focus on mapping, summarising and deriving generalisable insights form the prototyping and iterating on specific UI components, including intuitive visualisations and interactive elements that facilitate human input of qualitative, meaning-based concepts.
This post will be appointed on a full-time basis (working 35 hours per week) for 4 weeks, starting around 1st July 2025 and end by 31st July 2025. The role will be hybrid working that combines a mix of remote and on-campus working.
The salary for this post is UE06 (£34,132 to £39,355) per annum, pro-rata.

* Background in Explainable AI for the Arts, or a closely related area
* Interest in combining creative and technical elements of human-computer interaction
* Ability to work as part of an international, interdisciplinary team
