Job Overview
Are you skilled in FLT, MHE or Warehousing and looking to move into teaching or already a talented tutor who is looking to transform lives through learning? MK College Group have an exciting new opportunity for a Warehousing tutor, to join the team based at HMP Erlestoke. The role will involve delivery of a variety of FLT, MHE and Warehousing qualifications at level 1 and 2.
As a successful FLT and Warehousing Tutor, you will truly inspire learners and provide them with a positive learning experience. You will connect with learners in a professional manner, supporting them with their learning and enabling them to achieve success through not only qualifications but also developing the confidence and softer skills that they can apply to employment as well as other areas of education.
The average class consists of 3 students, supported by a team of prison mentors and a workshop technician. The sessions are approximately 3 hours long. Your lessons will need to be adaptable, innovative, and imaginative.
Minimum Requirements:
* Excellent communication skills to inspire and motivate students.
* Ability to deliver FLT, MHE, and Warehousing qualifications at levels 1 and 2.

About HMP Erlestoke:
HMP Erlestoke is a Category C prison, holding approximately 444 adult male sentenced offenders. The prison is built on the former grounds of Erlestoke Manor House and has expanded in both offender numbers and intervention programmes. HMP Erlestoke’s focus is firmly fixed on reducing re-offending and preventing future victims of crime by preparing offenders for their release through accredited intervention programmes, skill and vocational-based training, and education in a pro-social environment.
Courses at HMP Erlestoke include Maths, English, IT, Horticulture, Carpentry, Cleaning and Support Services, Hospitality, Creative Craft, Customer Service, Team Leading, Learning Support, and much more.
The education delivery hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 11.15am, 2.00pm - 4.30pm and on Fridays 8.30am - 11.15am.
Erlestoke staff and learners get involved with various projects each year, including an archaeological dig and a two-week Arts festival “Penned Up,” giving learners the opportunity to hear from authors, refreshing attitudes, thinking, and developing a focus on reading.
Erlestoke issues an internal magazine highlighting various events, projects, and support alongside articles, interviews, and shared experiences as well as promoting well-being and education.
