Principal Hydraulic Modeller (Wastewater)
Are you an experienced Hydraulic Modeller with expertise in wastewater modelling? Do you want to take a leading role in developing a new team while working on impactful and innovative projects?
We are seeking a Principal Hydraulic Modeller to join our growing Manchester office. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and develop a new team while delivering cutting-edge solutions for wastewater systems.
As a Principal Hydraulic Modeller, you will lead on wastewater-focused projects, mentor team members, and help establish the Manchester team as a centre of excellence. Your role will include building and verifying InfoWorks ICM models, conducting GIS data analysis, and preparing detailed documentation and reports. These deliverables will support solutions to flooding, pollution, and service performance challenges in urban drainage systems.
Key clients include: Severn Trent, Irish Water, United Utilities, the Government of Jersey, and leading residential developers.
About The Candidate
Essential Skills:
* Proven experience in wastewater modelling, specifically using InfoWorks ICM in the UK.
* Comprehensive understanding of urban drainage systems and catchment management.
* Ability to build, verify, and interpret hydraulic models to support investigations and solutions.
* Strong project management skills, including managing workloads and meeting delivery milestones.
* Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to develop team capabilities.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in managing and delegating tasks within a team.
* Proven ability to prepare fee proposals and manage project finances.
* Experience in team setup and development, including recruitment and training.
