Together for Children Sunderland works on behalf of the Council to deliver children’s services in the city including social care, early help and education.
Are you passionate about making a difference to children's lives? If so, then this is a unique opportunity to join us to become one of our future legal professionals, as a Paralegal Apprentice giving the opportunity to develop in the role and start a legal career, following successful completion of the apprenticeship.
As a Paralegal Apprentice, you will join Legal Team and over the two year apprenticeship period you will undertake training to support the Children’s legal team.
You will possess effective verbal and written communication skills to enable cases to progress through courts, which will involve speaking to social workers, legal chambers, medical professionals and police. You will prepare and process child protection correspondence, court applications under supervision and also assist with the preparation and production of court bundles and ensure their timely distribution. There may be occasional attendance at Court. You will ensure that the team filing system is maintained and the case management system is up to date.
This two-year Level 3 paralegal apprenticeship is aimed at applicants who have a minimum of three Grade Cs at A Level who have the maturity to study law and possess good written English an also five GCSE Grades A*-C/9-4, including English and Maths. Further information can be found at
