What you'll be doing \n
We are looking for a Publicity Assistant, who will be responsible for providing administrative support to the whole publicity team, and assisting in the day-to-day running of the Press Office; answering and responding to media enquiries, preparing press releases and mailings, liaising with authors, agents and booksellers and coordinating travel plans and schedules. \n
In addition, the role involves accompanying authors to local and national events, in a confident and professional manner. The successful candidate will work particularly closely with the Publicity Directors in the team to support them on their campaigns. \n
This entry level role offers an exciting opportunity to gain invaluable experience, working across a wide range of titles and genres, including commercial and literary fiction and non-fiction, celebrity memoirs, and cookery and wellbeing titles. \n
Who we are looking for \n
The ideal candidate will be extremely efficient and organised, possess exceptional communication skills and bring creativity and enthusiasm to the role. The ability to multi-task, work calmly under pressure and be a strong team player are also vital, as is a good knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva and social media platforms. We also want someone who loves books and has a passion for the power of publicity to sell them. \n
You will be an integral part of a fun, collaborative and highly successful publicity team, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys working with colleagues to share ideas, and is eager to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. \n

The role will be based at our London office, Carmelite House, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week. \n
