You will like\n\nQS & cost control work in high-end construction/restoration with niche contractor on multi-phase, multi-year flagship projects primarily prime plus residential in London. \n\nYou will like\n\nThe Senior Quantity Surveyor job role itself where you will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of a project. Working in coordination with the site team to maintain high standards of quality and profit.\n\nWorking from London office near Victoria Station, with flexible working, you will manage Multi-Million, high end and high rise residential new build and fit-out projects, plus heritage restoration and refurbishment jobs.\n\nYou will need to have a good understanding of traditional building methods and products associated with the refurbishment of listed buildings and up-market period houses. \n\nMore specifically:\n\nTo keep a tight control of potentially high numbers of variations on a large number of on-going projects, assisting site managers and contracts manager in recording all variations, pricing them and accurately recording their effect on final accounts.\n\t\nParticipate in the calculation and preparation of all company valuations and final accounts.\n\t\nPreparation and presentation of monthly job cost analysis data.
Analyse current methods and procedures and develop improved methods of working.\n\t\nOrganise, order and manage subcontract orders, applications and assist with subcontract enquiries and management. \n\t\nUndertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance projects.\n\t\nAssist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.\n\t\nLiaison with internal Accounts Departments to ensure cash flow for forthcoming monthly payment certificates.\n\t\nPerform risk and value management and cost control.\n\t\nAnalyse costs of subcontractors before work commences.\n\t\nIdentify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks.\n\t\nValue completed work and arrange payments.\n\t\nMaintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use.\n\t\nUnderstand the implications of health and safety regulations.\n\nYou will have\n\nTo be successful as Senior Quantity Surveyor, we are looking for an experienced, quantity surveyor with a healthy mic of the following:\n\nHNC in Construction or relevant Degree level qualification\n\t\nDetailed knowledge private residential building contracting.\n\t\nAwareness of property taxation matters and contractual law\n\t\nHave a good technical understanding of traditional and modern building methods and products associated with refurbishment and new build projects of both traditional and contemporary design in the prime and super prime residential sector.\n\t\nHave a good working knowledge MS Office – Intermediate level of Excel\n\t\nTo be able to write clear and precise communications which might include detailed and complex figures, calculations and specific building information.\n\t\nStrong numeracy and financial management skills and the ability to learn construction management IT packages.\n\nYou will get\n\nAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor here, you will enjoy a competitive salary DOE, likely £70K-£90K. \n\nA guide would be Senior QS SQS £70K-£90K, QS £40K-£70K & AQS £25K-£40K + Package:\n\n22 Days Holiday, plus Bank Holidays\n\t\n5 Days Company Sick Pay\n\t\nStandard Workplace Pension\n\t\nPrivate Medical Insurance (Bupa)\n\t\nCar Allowance\n\t\n4pm Finish on Fridays!\n\nYou can apply\n\nTo Senior Quantity Surveyor by pushing the button on this job posting (recommended), or by sending CV in confidence to (url removed) \n\nUK_MS
