Pertemps is working with a prestigious client based in East Kilbride, who has a new vacancy for a Finance Assistant. This role is suitable for someone with a varied accounts background, including credit control and accounts payable, and who is comfortable with administrative tasks. The client offers excellent benefits, including hybrid working, with a salary of approximately £30,000.
Responsibilities
Accounts
* Credit Control, Sales Ledger, and Purchasing
* Generating monthly invoices and billings accurately and promptly
* Processing payment transactions, including BACS, Direct Debit Collections, and Foreign Payments
* Expenses reporting and updates
* Payment allocation and bank reconciliation
* Managing financial customer database, pricing formulas, contact details, and correspondence
* Generating financial management reports
Administration
* Supporting internal events, communications, and sales processes
* Responding promptly to client support tickets
* Assisting HR with administrative tasks as needed
* Triaging incoming support calls and coordinating with support colleagues
* Arranging travel for senior staff
* Managing external communications for clients
* Handling internal newsletter and intranet content
* Supporting internal meetings, including documentation and facilities
* Performing other administrative duties as required
Skills Required
* Previous experience in accounts or finance
* Organized, innovative, deadline-driven with excellent attention to detail and literacy skills
* Proficient in MS Office
* Experience in a similar role is advantageous
* Knowledge of Xero accounting software is beneficial but not essential
