Simply Education is working with an SEN school in Kent, to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time, permanent role with an immediate start About the school: This well-established and respected school supports students aged 6 to 25 with a variety of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, dyslexia, speech and language difficulties, sensory challenges, and high levels of anxiety. The school is committed to providing a supportive and structured environment where every student is given the opportunity to thrive both academically and personally. The role: We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to provide individualised student support and assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students develop their confidence, independence, and learning skills. Responsibilities: Provide individual and group support to students with diverse learning needs. Assist in preparing learning materials and classroom activities. Encourage student participation and engagement in lessons. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other staff to support each student's educational journey. Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. Help students develop their social, emotional, and academic skills.Who we are looking for: Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable but not essential. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with students. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A flexible and adaptable attitude to meet students' varying needs.
