Job overview
We are excited to be recruiting an in-house EMDR Consultant Clinical Psychologist to join our Psychological Professions’ Workforce Team. NELFT is committed to delivering the highest quality of care to all Users of Service across our entire geographic area (North East London, Essex and Kent), including the delivery of EMDR. We want to ensure parity of access to evidence based treatments by suitably trained professionals irrespective of residents’ locations. The successful candidate will be both a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist and an accredited EMDR Consultant. They will hold responsibility across the Trust for overseeing the delivery of EMDR and will spearhead the creation of a strategy for EMDR for NELFT.
Main duties of the job
The provision of supervision, both individual and group, is an essential part of this role. The post holder will be an experienced supervisor who shows flexibility in style dependent on the needs of the supervisees. The post holder will manage contracts of externally procured supervision where needed which will involve assuring quality and credibility of the supervisory offer.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,313 to a maximum of £5,436 pro rata for part time).

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £1,192 to a maximum of £2,011 pro rata for part time).
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will be skilled in networking and building relationships with different individuals across the system to be able to explore means of further developing EMDR and trauma provision for different populations. They will be experienced in coproduction and will be aspirational in co-design and co-delivery of trauma informed trainings to colleagues.
