This is a 12-month fixed term contract working hybrid, Monday & Friday from home and Tuesday to Thursday from our Bingley office. Job Overview: Working in the Household Buying team, you will support the buyer in all areas of product range development. You will acquire an extensive knowledge of all product ranges; developing your market and competitor understanding, enabling you to highlight new and improved product opportunities to maximise sales. You will build and maintain strong relationships with all local suppliers, keeping in regular contact over pricing, photo samples and production samples. Key Responsibilities: You will be specifically responsible for; style creation, samples, liaising with the photography studio, sending briefs to the publications team, parcel catalogue creation, updating and maintaining merchandise lists, copy checking and competitor benchmarking. Other duties involved in this role include; •Developing direct dispatch ranges using BluJay and internal systems •Extensive systems knowledge and carrying out administrative tasks as and when required •Understanding, monitoring and achieving all deadlines •Carrying out simple analysis tasks as and when required •Delivering data creation tasks to required deadlines •Preparing and attending briefing sessions with catalogue creative teams •Deputise at briefing sessions for the Buyer as and when required Skills and Experience: You will be passionate about product and have the desire to bring innovative ideas to contribute to continuous improvement. With the confidence to voice your suggestions and challenge when needed. Attention to detail, excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively are essential. Excellent communication skills are vital for this role as you will be expected to effectively communicate with external suppliers and colleagues at all levels, working cross functionally with other Commercial departments, especially Merchandising, E-Commerce and Marketing. Advanced knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel is essential.
