Assistant Operations Manager
Location: Newcastle-Under-Lyme
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
Salary: up to £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a motivated Assistant Operations Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and solution-oriented individual with a good eye for detail and a passion for process improvement and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting the Operations Manager in managing daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient execution.
2. Tracking and evaluating operational performance metrics, pinpointing opportunities for improvement.
3. Leading and inspiring a team of five direct reports within the Warehouse and Customer Service teams to achieve objectives.
4. Offering support and guidance to the operational team.
5. Assisting with training and onboarding of new employees.
6. Ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and safety standards.
7. Overseeing the maintenance of ISO9001:2015 quality management system and leading annual audits to uphold certification.
8. Managing supplier compliance with Medical Device Legislation and maintaining proper records.
9. Identifying opportunities for process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
10. Contributing to the development and implementation of new operational strategies.
11. Conducting regulatory assessments and audits.
12. Preparing and analyzing operational reports, offering insights and recommendations.
13. Tracking and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
14. Presenting data and findings to management.
15. Ensuring adherence to all relevant safety and regulatory requirements.
16. Supporting the maintenance of accurate records.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Demonstrated experience managing a team within an SME.
2. Proven expertise in maintaining an ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System.
3. Experience with ERP and WMS systems.
4. Strong attention to detail.
5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
7. Preferred qualification in Business Administration or a related field.
