SLR has a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Manager to take on the management of its growing European region business of over 1400 people. If successful, you will lead quality management activities across Europe including both operational and strategic initiatives and tracking corrective and improvement actions to completion. You’ll work to identify areas of high risk and develop mitigation plans and create project management improvement activities and initiatives while training, promoting awareness, and ensuring alignment with global Core Processes.
You’ll also take the lead on developing regional business improvement initiatives, facilitate continuous improvement, and manage the maintenance and updating of records, reports, and quality databases as appropriate, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
The role could be based in any of our UK offices, with remote and hybrid working options offering great flexibility to help manage work life balance.
About the role:
The Quality team in Europe work across the region, managing the quality management system Reporting to the Regional Shared Services Director in Europe, you’ll take on responsibility over three primary areas:
1. SLR’s quality management system in Europe, including the successful retention of our ISO 9001 certification, and maintaining regional compliance with our overall global strategy, objectives, and processes.
2. Project management excellence and improvement activities and initiatives, fostering efficiency and excellence in project delivery across the region.
3. Regional acquisition quality integrations, ensuring key milestones are met while coordinating between regional and global leadership and technical teams.
Duties and responsibilities will be varied, but will include:
* Sharing expertise and knowledge within the Quality team and broader Shared Services.
* Developing procedures and documentation to facilitate adoption of global and regional processes.
* Managing resources to deliver operational Quality activities as appropriate.
* Ensuring processes, policies and practices are communicated and followed.
* Providing instruction and guidance to team members on completing routine tasks related to their roles.
* Developing strong relationships with people in the client facing teams and provides a high level of support to them.
* Communicating effectively with internal clients to ensure accurate delivery and follow up including escalation to the relevant person.
* Building trusting and collaborative working relationships with internal (and external as appropriate) clients.
* Collaborating across Global Quality Team as appropriate.

About you

* Experience working in the professional or environmental services industry.
* Experience implementing or maintaining a quality management system.
* Experience of managing ISO 9001 accreditation.
* Experience developing procedures and documentation as it relates to management systems.
* Demonstrated experience building and maintaining client relationships.
* Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and working within strictly defined timelines.
* Interest and ability in effectively mentoring and guiding the professional development of team members.
* Strong familiarity with the Company’s Purpose, Core Values and Vision and ensure compliance with the Company’s Corporate Governance, Corporate Code of Business Conduct, OH&S requirements and the Company policies, procedures and guidelines.
