Job Title: Registered Care Manager
Setting: Domiciliary Care Service
Location: Portsmouth
Salary: GBP35,000 (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am 5pm, with alternate weekends on-call
About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Care Manager or an experienced Deputy Care Manager with previous experience in supported living or domiciliary/homecare services eager to take the next step in their career, to hit the ground running and lead our clients Home Care Service. With a busy and thriving service supporting over 95 clients and managing a dedicated team of 45+ staff, this role is perfect for a passionate, motivated, and outgoing care professional looking to make a significant impact in the lives of those they support.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Service Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of our home care services, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance.
2. Leadership: Provide strong, compassionate leadership to a team including Care Coordinators, Senior Care Assistants, and Care Assistants.
3. Client Care Coordination: Ensure clients receive personalised care that promotes their independence and well-being.
4. Staff Development: Lead, mentor, and support care staff, ensuring continuous development and high morale.
5. Compliance: Maintain compliance with CQC and relevant regulatory standards, ensuring that all records and procedures meet quality assurance requirements.
6. On-Call Responsibilities: Participate in alternate weekend on-call duties to provide support for any emergencies or escalated care needs.
About You:
1. Experience: Previous experience as a Registered Care Manager or strong Deputy Care Manager with experience in a domiciliary or supported living service.
2. Qualifications: NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care (or currently working towards it).
3. Leadership Skills: Strong organisational and leadership abilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
4. Passion for Care: A genuine dedication to improving clients' lives and a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centered care.
5. Innovation & Initiative: An innovative approach to problem-solving with a proactive mindset and strong communication skills.
